In establishing a West Coast corporate presence for this Indiana-based radio and television holding company, a contemporary minimalist design with high-end finishes demonstrates the refinement and sophistication expected of modern media conglomerates.

Distinctive nova blue limestone floors, high-gloss millwork, and backlit translucent glass panels were deftly detailed as taut, flush skins.  These conceal technical equipment, light sources, and appliances.  Other finishes make subtle allusions to broadcasting. In the Conference Room, a suede fabric ceiling recalls a vernacular radio studio acoustic treatment.  Repetitive forms of undulating textile fiber wall panels bring to mind broadcast signal waves.

A comprehensive computer model, including all furniture, fixtures, finishes, and hardware, was developed and continually refined during each phase of the design process.  Used as virtual mock-up, the model let an actively-involved client request highly specific refinements.
